Within the framework of the Regional Initiative for the Assessment of Climate Change Impacts on Water Resources and Socio-Economic Vulnerability in the Arab Region (RICCAR), the eleven RICCAR implementing partner organizations are organizing the ‘High Level Conference on Climate Change Assessment and Adaptation in the Arab Region’ from 26 to 28 September 2017 at the Hilton Beirut Metropolitan Palace Hotel in Beirut, Lebanon.
This conference will also serve as the closing meeting of the Adaptation to Climate Change in Water Sector in the MENA Region (ACCWaM) project.
UNU-INWEH Project Associate, Ms. Praem Mehta will be participating in the conference with a presentation titled ‘Impact of Climate Change on Human Health Case Studies’ (with input from Ms. Sarah Dickin, Research Fellow, Stockholm Environment Institute; formerly with UNU-INWEH). The Technical report, ‘Climate Change Impacts on Health in the Arab Region: A Case Study on Neglected Tropical Diseases’, was released as part of a publication series.
