Emma holds a MSc in Applied Environmental Economics (Imperial College London, UK) and a PhD in Agri-Environmental Economics (University of Kent, UK). She worked as a Research Fellow (Assistant Prof equivalent) at Ifremer’s Marine Economics Unit in Brittany France before joining UNU-INWEH. She has also worked as a consultant tutor for the University of London’s distance learning programme. Her activities and interests include environmental valuation policy assessments, natural resource management, as well as learning and teaching. She is currently involved in the scientific coordination of the Economics of Land Degradation (ELD) initiative.
