Chris Metcalfe

Senior Advisor: Water quality management; Latin America and Caribbean
 
Chris Metcalfe holds an MSc from the University of New Brunswick, and a PhD from McMaster University (Ontario), and has a broad range of interests, with a focus on environmental fate and toxic effects of organic contaminants in the aquatic environment. In addition to his role at UNU-INWEH, Dr. Metcalfe is also a Professor in the Environmental and Resource Studies Program, and the Director of the Institute for Watershed Science – both at Trent University, Peterborough, Ontario. His international experience includes leading watershed management projects in Mexico and Ecuador and working to increase research and ecosystem management capacity within institutions in Indonesia, Cuba, Argentina, and the Caribbean region.
