Eslam Alhogaraty is a Professor of Environmental Engineering and Water and Wastewater Technology at Algonquin College, Ottawa, and an Associate Faculty at Hamdan Bin Mohamed Smart University in Dubai, UAE. He holds PhD in Natural Sciences (Geo-ecology) from Ernst Moritz Arndt University of Greifswald (Germany). Dr Alhogaraty teaches at Murdoch University, American University in the UAE, Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University in the UAE, and Algonquin College, Canada. His expertise covers environmental planning, waste management, pollution prevention, sustainable land use management, environmental awareness, impact of desalination plants, coastal water resources, biosphere reserves, renewable energy site selection, clean production and green practices. He collaborated with many international organizations including USAID, DANIDA, FINNIDA, CH2MHILL and is a member of organizing committees of regular International congresses including Ajman International Environment Conference (AIEC) in UAE, and iWISE conference in Canada. At UNU-INWEH, he provides input to the project on Unconventional Water Resources.
