Gail Krantzberg is Professor of Engineering and Public Policy in the Walter G Booth School of Engineering Practice and Technology at McMaster University, offering Canada’s first Master’s Degree in Engineering and Public Policy. Gail completed her MSc and PhD at the University of Toronto in environmental science and freshwaters. Her research is at the interface between science and public policy, with extensive expertise on disciplines to advance the sustainability of the Great Lakes. In the past, Dr Krantzberg served in the Ontario Ministry of Environment as Coordinator and Senior Policy Advisor for the Great Lakes Program; a president of the International Association of Great Lakes Research, Director of the Great Lakes Regional Office of the International Joint Commission. She is currently on the Board of Directors for several Great Lakes and policy-related nonprofit organizations. Dr Krantzberg has edited/co-authored 7 books and has published over 200 research and policy articles.
