Irene Gaerdes has over 25 years’ experience in office management and administrative support, with extensive experience in the private sector. At UNU-INWEH, she provides secretarial support to the Director, facilitates human resource coordination, liaises with UNU HR office on documentation for promotions and appointments. She also supports new staff recruitment process, provides logistical support for International Advisory Committee (IAC) meetings, Water Without Borders students’ field trips, and travel of consultants, and partners to events – in Canada and beyond – that UNU-INWEH organises. She is also responsible for office facilities’ and supplies’ management.
