Jacintah is a candidate for Master’s in Management of Applied Science with a specialisation of Global Health Systems in Africa(MMASc-GHS) at the University of Western Ontario.
She is a Kenyan native and holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing sciences from the University of Nairobi. Prior to her graduate programme at Western University she worked as a study coordinator at KEMRI-Wellcome Trust Research Programme (KWTRP) in Nairobi. She worked on a project that aimed to assess the quality of care in Maternal and Newborn Health(MNH) within Nairobi county and how the gaps in quality of care could be addressed through task- shifting. She has also worked as a Reproductive Health clinical nurse in Kenya.
She will be undertaking a 3-month internship under the supervision of Dr. Manzoor Qadir and Ms. Praem Mehta. Her main responsibilities will be to assess the cost burden of water-borne diseases and how it compares to the cost of waste-water management among other roles.
