Syed Zaigham Kazmi is originally from Pakistan and has been living in Hamilton, Canada for the last four years. He holds a B.S degree in Mechanical Engineering from International Islamic University, Pakistan with focus on energy (mainly micro hydro power plant projects). He also holds a M.Eng degree in Engineering & Public Policy from McMaster University, Canada with focus on energy and industrial related policies. He was involved in the industrial survey and formulation of Industrial Policy for Khyber Pakhtunkhawa, Pakistan. Syed has hands-on experience from the industrial sector and has worked for a number of industries.
Syed will be undertaking a three-month internship under the supervision of Dr. Nidhi Nagabhatla. His main responsibilities will be to assist in the development of curriculum of the “Water Security” training course module “Economic Activities and Development” and analyze the outputs from UNU activities, projects and programmes to feed into the water security training course. He also will contribute to and assist with knowledge product and output related to the Nature Based Solution (NBS) framework.
