Chris Metcalfe is a water quality management specialist with over 35 years’ experience. He holds an MSc from the University of New Brunswick, and a PhD from McMaster University, Canada. Professor Metcalf has a broad range of professional interests, centred around environmental fate and toxic effects of organic contaminants in the aquatic environment. Dr Metcalfe is a Professor at Trent University, Peterborough, Canada, where he serves as Director of the Institute for Watershed Science in the Environmental and Resource Studies programme. His international experience includes leading watershed management projects in Mexico and Ecuador and helping strengthen capacity for research and ecosystem management in institutions in Indonesia, Cuba, Argentina, and the Caribbean region.
