Danielle Liao

Danielle is an undergraduate student at McMaster University studying Biology, Environmental Science, Geography and Earth Sciences. Her interests involve urban planning and policy, sustainable development, the environment and climate change communication. Danielle has been involved in research regarding urban geography pedagogy, urban planning, fish cognition and transportation development. She has been involved with the MacChangers program in the Department of Engineering at McMaster University as a Transportation Solutions Developer focusing her project on implementing a pilot proposal based on the HSR’s Master Plan initiatives.
While at UNU-INWEH, Danielle will be working under the supervision of Dr. Hamid Mehmood and Dr Nidhi Nagabhalta to research the applications of artificial intelligence and its potential in sustainability science and water management, as well as examining circular economies and water security topics.
