Mahmoud Radwan


Mr Radwan (Mahmoud) is an engaged and dedicated development practitioner with a degree in Environmental Engineering from Zewail City University, Egypt, where he specialized in global Sustainable Development Goal 6, access to water and sanitation. He is currently studying for a Master of Development Practice in the University of Waterloo’s School of Environment, Entrepreneurship and Development (SEED).

Mahmoud has experience in development practice related to water/sanitation, sustainable energy technologies, rural/urban development and waste management through consultancies and internships in Germany, Nigeria, Jordan and Turkey as well as his native Egypt. He is also an active and contributing member of the MENA Network of Water Centres (NWC) and the global Sustainable Sanitation Alliance (SuSanA). While at UNU-INWEH, Mahmoud will be working under the supervision of Dr. Nidhi Nagabhatla. His work will be mainly on Water Security Challenges in the Congo Basin related to the water security conceptual framework.”
