Marvel Ekwuribe

Marvel is an undergraduate student at McMaster University studying Geography and Environmental Studies. She has an interest in issues involving the environment, urban geography, climate change, environmental policy planning, and youth development. Marvel currently volunteers at the Hamilton Youth Strategy Group where she works both individually and as a team to carry out research on how to get the youth’s voices heard more by the city of Hamilton by focusing on areas that the city needs to invest in to empower the youths. While at McMaster she took part in the Youthful Cities Pitch off where she worked with a team to create a solution to water issues in Hamilton. Her goal in life is to work in a position where I can influence the world in a positive way.

While at UNU-INWEH, Marvel will be working under the supervision of Dr. Nidhi Nagabhatla and Dr. Duminda Perera. Her work will examine water security challenges.
