Mohammad is a recent B.Sc graduate with a major in Biology and minor in Sustainability from McMaster University. Apart from this, he has previously volunteered as an educational officer and chapter leader for the McMaster Global Medical Brigades (MGMB) and McMaster Global Environmental Brigades (MGEB) for two years to assist local Nicaraguans with medical and hydrological resources. He has also been a North-American ambassador for Global Brigades, taking on the roles of social media marketing, chapter overlook, and NPO awareness for over a year. On top of this, he has been the president of the McMaster MCAT Prep Club for three years, a science mentor for the McMaster Science Society, and has completed multiple community-based research projects and publications over the past two years. He aspires to become a dentist in the near future and has shadowed a vast number of experienced physicians and dentists for over 300 hours in a hospital/clinic setting.
Mohammad will be working with supervisors Dr. Nidhi Nagabhatla and Hamid Mehmood during his time at UNU-INWEH. He will specifically be updating the WLC interface to make for enhanced user experiences as well as examine multifunctional wetlands and their impact on circular economies.
