Morgane is a recent graduate from the University of Edinburgh with a MSc in Marine Systems and Policies, and holds a Bachelor in Geography from the University of Geneva.
During her Master’s, Morgane focused mainly on ocean governance and international law of the sea. Her dissertation explored the nexus between ocean management, local communities and traditional knowledge in Pacific islands. She is highly interested by exploring local communities involvement in marine planning and conservation, and hopes to continue to explore this topic with a PhD in Anthropology.
Morgane is part of the UNU-INWEH Externship Programme. She will be working closely under the supervision of Dr. Manzoor Quadir and Mr. Guillaume Baggio-Ferla on a study of the impacts and benefits of the bottled water industry worldwide.
