Neha Naeem is a third year undergraduate student studying Honours Justice, Political Philosophy and Law at McMaster University. She is also minoring in Political Science and Sociology. Her academic interests include understanding how impractical allocations of resources impacts the least-advantaged group within different contexts. In her spare time, Neha is working on designing and editing the McMaster Undergraduate Sociology Journal. Neha is also volunteering as a crisis-line volunteer for the Sexual Assault and Violence Intervention Services (SAVIS) of Halton. Likewise, she is keen on investigating womens’ issues, while paying special attention to how women are represented within media and academia.
In light of these interests, as a MUST scholar, Neha is working closely with Dr. Nidhi Nagabhatla, Dr. Caner Sayan, and Professor Nancy Doubleday to conceptualize the water, gender and migration nexus. This conceptualization will provide an improved understanding of the relationship between women and water within pre-migration and post-migration stages.
